Practical Ministry Courses

The following courses are available or planned in the department of Practrical Ministry:

• Who Do You Think You Are? (PM0603)

  An examination of who we are and how we fit in the Body of Christ



• Discipleship, Growth and Maturity (PM0207)

  Focusing on some key areas of understanding our discipleship and working it out in a real and living way, this module is abut doing God's Word and God's Will so that we position ourselves to grow.



• Gifts of the Spirit (PM0404)

  Looking biblically, practically and experientially at the nine manifestations of the Holy Spirit found in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11.



• Healing (PM1001)

  This module combines a Biblical overview of the subject of healing with practicalities of healing ministry.  A model is presented to get participants started praying for the sick.



• Pastoral Ministry (PM1005)

  In the context of gifting and character, this course combines considerations of shepherding, government, teaching the Word, developing people, organising, and the goals of pastoral ministry with practical insights on message preparation and delivery, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and walking with people through life.



• Principles of Leadership (PM1006)

  An inspirational and practical course focused on imparting leadership tools, sharpening leadership skills, raising leadership awareness and increasing leadership effectiveness.  The importance of character, integrity and servanthood is stressed.



• Message Preparation and Delivery (PM1002)

  This module is a "preaching school" for preachers, aspiring preachers, and all those who may be called upon to teach or share from the Bible in small group meetings.
